FTSE is consolidating after strong three-day rally that peaked at 6938, unable to break above daily cloud that has twisted lower.
Downside attempts today were so far limited, keeping intact initial support at 6876 (Fibo 23.6% of 6675/6938 rally).
Firmly bullish daily studies favor fresh attempts higher, with break above 6938, expected to open 6988 (10 Nov high / strong upside rejection).
Correction that is expected to precede, should be contained above 6837 (Fibo 38.2%), while break below 6806 (daily Tenkan-sen) would weaken the structure.

Hit fresh record high at 19557 on Wednesday’s strong acceleration higher. Long bullish candle that was left yesterday underpins the action, as bulls are so far ignoring strongly overbought daily studies.
Near-term price action is consolidating within a narrow range and is so far contained by initial support at 19500, keeping intact first pivot at 19428 (Fibo 38.2% of yesterday’s rally).
With no firmer bearish signals yet, near-term focus remains shifted higher.
However, correction on overextended daily studies should be anticipated. Below 19428, daily Tenkan-sen offers solid support at 19300, which should ideally contain extended dips.
Expect stronger signals of correction on break below 19040/19080 higher base.
